I hope that everyone knows what i mean on the title. When it comes to tamil music in movies,i have to admit that the only names come to my 6th sense is Illayaraja and A.R.Rehman. What an achievement they have made. Truly they stand to be the best composers in Indian cinema.
Raja is the Raja of music. The melodies that he has given to the tamil audience is humongous. The talent that he has got in him is unimaginable. The mottai thalai has got all his nerves in his brain that could producemusic waves with everlasting touch. Annakili unna theduthaey..This song was sung by none other than the nightingale of tamil , Janaki and acted by Sujatha. Wow, lets try to also say that Raja is Sujatha of Music.
Rehman - The man who saw tomorrow. Without Rehman, music is nothing but wind. Yes, it would have just been Raja ruling the kingdom. The man who has reached levels much more than Raja in a very short span of time. Chinna Chinna Aasai - I just cant believe the sound i first heard in Oliyum Oliyum. There is a definite message to the world that another musical genius is popping out. The music starts with Sun rising and it would now trigger our 6th sense to know what it co-relates.
I will soon write a very dedicated article about these 2 wonders of film music. This being my first post, i wanted to start off with a musical note.

You have missed out Viswanathan Ramamoorthy.
Their contribution to tamil film music cannot be overlooked.
They were the ones who set the trend for tamil film music and paved the way for light music from the predominantly carnatic music based tamil film music.
Their effort in bringing foreign instruments and incorporating styles like jazz etc in tamil film music is very commendable!!
