Airtel Super Singer is a South Indian(Tamil) singing competition. It is one of the hottest reality show for South Indian audience, which is telecasted on STAR Vijay (Vijay TV). The show is sponsored by the mobile service provider Airtel.
Season Synopsis
Season 1
The first season of Airtel Super Singer debuted in 2006. Nikhil Mathew was announced the winner and was selected to sing a song, Enadhuyire in the Tamil film, Bheema for the music director, Harris Jayaraj.
Season 2
Auditions for Airtel Super Singer 2008 show started on June 27, 2008. Judges had to shortlist from about 10000 canditates from auditions in three cities, Chennai, Tiruchirapalli and Coimbatore. Unnikrishnan, Sujatha and Srinivas are the current judges of the show.
