Kamal Haasans hunger for acting is going to be well served in Dasavatharam, the 10 role movie. Michael Madana Kamarajan as we all know was a trend setter for a comedy screenplay in tamil cinema. Particularly Kameswaran's performance was an everlasting one. Later kamal did Avvai Shanmugi (Tamizil Mrs. Doubtfire) with an old lady get up that was a rocking performance too.
Now Dasavatharam is not going to leave any of those old performances. Kamal i believe still wants to do it to much more perfection. In Dasavatharam, kamal out of the 10 roles is going to be playing a beautiful woman, an old woman, a brahmin character , a dada and so on...
Usually in K.S.Ravikumar's movie, there always used to be a lot of characters involved. In Dasavatharam, it is going to be a lot of faces with kamal himself taking majority of the faces. Infact, kamal can make a movie with just him acting all the roles. Yaarku theriyum, he might have some thoughts too.
In Hollywood, Eddie Murphy has done some fantastic performaces like that. In Nutty Professor, theres a scene where the complete family of 8 (all Eddie Murphy) in different ages, would have dinner together. The make-ups and Eddies mannerisms are simply the best. It was all becasue of Eddie respecting the power of make-ups and believing it can lift a character big time. Kamal truly is in the same track. His dedication towards Make-Ups was already proved by Indian and Avvai Shanmugi, where he did go through consecutive hours of sitting for every make up sessions.
Kamal is the only artist in India that is always making an effort to bring in new things to the audience. His efforts when put right, would never go wrong. Dasavatharam is going to be a definite treat to all of us. Well, the treat is going to be like a cherry on the ice-cream with Rajini's Sivaji , to be released in parallel.
