G.V.Prakash is the talk of the kollywood after Veyyil's success. The movie is declared a hit and Shankar's "S Films" is proving to be the biggest success banner. Shankar who is a great fan of A.R.Rehman himself , has given a very big opportunity for G.V.Prakash who is nothing but a nephew of A.R.Rehman. Nobody can forget the starting voice "chikku bukku chikku bukuu railae" from Gentleman. It was G.V.Prakash who has infact sung many bits in Rehman's music. Now with just at the age of 19, he has already proved to be the next big talent in Music direction. The offers seems to be pouring right away after veyyil and we have to just wait and see if he can sustain the competition.
Veyyil Songs :
1. Chethadavadam - Sung by Manika Vinayagam
A typical Manika Vinayagam. Just when i started to hear the song, G.V.Prakash has shown his Rehman inspirations right away. A decent little song.
2. Iraivanai - Sung by Prashanthi
Prashanthi looks like a new singer but her voice resembles Chithra. Another new singer in the pipeline. The flute used in the song resembles some of "Naetru illaadha maatram" from Pudhiya mugam.

3. Kaadhal Neruppin - Sung by Karthik , Chinmaye, Nithis Gopalan
This tune gets some shadow from the song "Tu hi tu" from the movie "kabhi naa kabhi".

4. Urugudhae Marugudhae - Sung by Shankar Mahadevan and Shreya Ghoshal
The instruments and the pattern of the song is nothing but "Kurukku siruthavalae" from Mudhalvan .
5. Veyilodi Vilayaadi - Sung by Kassue Gift, Kailesh Kher, Prasanna, Tipu
Looks like a group song. Not that impressive.
6. Ooraan thotathula - Sung by Sriram
Its like "Oadakaara maarimuthu" song from Indhra.
Songs are all good on instruments but i have to say that not a single song has a catchy tune to be heard again. But i heard that the background score in the movie has won lot of credits than the songs. Overall, a great achievement at this young age.

@sandai
the white square is the music player that gets loaded with all Veyyil songs. You might have to wait a little bit more to see the player show up.
