Manoj Night Shyamalan, the director of Sixth Sense, coming basically from the Indian roots is one of the best paid directors in Hollywood. He has been approached with so many offers and we should all be proud and happy to feel that an Indian is rocking in the Hollywood. There has been a news that Shyamalan was asked to collaborate for the 4th Indian Jones along with his idol, Steven spielberg but was not able to accept it due to various reasons. It is a stunning feel for anyone to work with Spielberg and the fact that Shyamalan was approached is his lifetime success. However, he prefers to direct the 7th Harry potter.


He was born in Madras on August 6, 1970 but raised in posh suburban Penn Valley area of Philadelphia, the son of Jayalakshmi Shyamalan(obstetrician) and Nelliate Shyamalan(cardiologist). His sixth sense broke most of the box office records in hollywood then (1999) and was able to make a gross more than 600 millions, which is a humongous number when compared to the 40 million budget for the movie. His career path went straight up after 6th sense and is still a very popular icon in hollywood. Terrific achievement for his age.

Some people are always gifted during their first impression and Shyamalan should fit the category very well. Who can ever complain about 6th sense. The scripting for the movie was one of a kind after Alfred Hitchcock. The movie indirectly had a standing ovation from the total world and is a great movie.

Shyamalan was so passionate about making making movies right from his childhood and is a man living with fulfilled dreams now.
