Coffee with Anu, no doubt is the first Chat show in Tamil that has become the talk of the town. It has successfully reached 100 episodes and that too with the same sponsor (Indhayam Manthra) all throughout. It is a great achievement. Vijay TV is now the leader in Tamil satellite channels. Their sensible and attractive programs have captured a lot of viewers worldwide. Sun TV lost its space and its going to be a huge challenge for them to regain their spot, given that Sun TV is not the mouth piece of DMK anymore.
Anuhaasan cannot ask for a better career in her life. She has been the center piece in taking the show to where it is today. All it matters in a talk show is talking and Vijay TV has certainly picked the right anchor coming from the haasan background. "The Haasan effect” was very obvious with her sensible questions and ease of handling the task. Well, suhasini could also have done this but her fame would have stopped her from being easy on the show. Anuhaasan, having just acted 1 movie (Indhra), found a tailor made role for her. The Season-1 has ended with 100 episodes and Season-2 has already started with the star that created ripples in every man’s heart of tamilnadu, "Simran". I saw the show and the ambience is even more professional now.
Coffee with Anu is the most viewed program and is the only program that has brought in most of the big celebrities in the industry. Well, it’s just not celebrities from movie industry but also personalities in politics, music, dance and many other fine arts. The success ingredients for Koffee with Anu that I would say are:
- The show's main theme to make it all natural.
- Very well backed up by Anu Haasan to maintain the tempo and the theme.
- The celebrities themselves getting involved in the talking. No other program has captured the feelings of celebrities like Koffee with Anu did.
- Framing of questions. It is in most cases very straight forward.
- A Very stylish and attractive studio set.

Now, enjoy the Season-2's first show of Coffee with Anu. The Guests were none other than heartthrob Simran, accompanied with her husband deepak and a special appearance from director Vasanth (who introduced Simran to Tamil cinema in Nerukku Ner, produced by Manirathnam).
